Loading Dock
For your convenience, the Pittsburgh Tattoo Expo has arranged for the use of the Wyndom Grand Hotel loading dock and freight elevator if needed for our Artists and Vendors. Both are available during Expo hours on a first come first served basis. This information is for loading & unloading purposes only. Booth set up time and accessibility to the ballroom is subject to change and is not dependent on when you unload. Further instruction on booth set up time will be given by the staff at the time of the event.
Artists or vendors bringing supplies to the Pittsburgh Tattoo Expo may use the loading dock at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh if needed. All arrangements for the loading dock must be made with the hotel and are subject to a fee. The main lobby entrance is available as well to unload for a duration of no longer than 20 minutes.
The loading dock is located on Fort Duquesne Boulevard located past the entrance of the hotel which is located on 600 Commonwealth Place. Turn right at the stop sign on Fort Duquesne. For more information, including a map and photos, please see the provided PDF.
Please note, parking is not permitted on the loading dock aside from unloading times.
Loading Dock/Freight Elevator Information
The Wyndom Grand Pittsburgh Downtown offers a single three-bay dock located off Fort Duquesne Blvd. in an underground service area. Clearance to the loading dock is 10’. Clearance into the service corridors is 7’4”.
To experience a convenient move in/out, entry should be made by vehicles under 10’ in height. If delivery made by a larger vehicle, unloading from Fort Duquesne Blvd. will be necessary. The loading dock is 150’ from the street with a downhill grade. If unload time averages (1) hour, allow (2) hours for unload at this location. Trucks are NOT permitted to unload from Ft. Duquesne Blvd. Monday-Friday 7am to 9am & 4:30pm to 7pm.
Freight Elevator – Door measurements – 7’10” W x 7’10” H. Weight capacity – 7,000 lbs. Interior – 22’L x 7’10” W x 7’10”H
The Mezzanine Level stop, for the freight elevator is obtained by moving down the service corridor approximately 30’.
